A 59-year old La Palma man was killed on Thursday afternoon after the motorcycle he was driving southbound along Bloomfield Avenue in Cerritos went apparently out of control and crashing into a landscaped center median.
According to Sgt. Vargas, of the Cerritos Sheriff’s Department, the incident took place at 3:15 p.m. in front of a Target Department Store .
Vargas said the man died at the scene and that no other vehicles were involved. The name of the victim has not been released to members of the public or media. Representatives from the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office arrived at the scene and removed the body.
Traffic along Bloomfield was diverted into the Target parking lot for a few hours as Deputies conducted their investigation.
