A man has been shot and killed in Artesia early Thursday morning.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man that occurred Thursday, September 12,2013, in the 12100 block of 180th Street, Artesia.
Detectives have learned that at approximately 1:10 AM, Lakewood Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to a call of a “gunshot victim” at the location. They discovered a 29 year-old male Hispanic, lying on the parkway of his residence, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
]According to several witnesses, they were in their homes when they heard four to five gunshots. They came outside, discovered the victim and called police. No suspects or vehicles were seen leaving the area.
Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) responsible for the murder.
