Six people were arrested in Norwalk on Friday night as part of an aggressive program by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to crack down on motorists who drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Personnel from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Risk Management Bureau’s Traffic Services Detail conducted a DUI/DL Checkpoint on August 30, 2013 at Imperial Highway at Bloomfield Avenue that saw nearly 2,200 cars being inspected.
The goal of the DUI/DL Checkpoint was removing impaired drivers and to bring awareness to the public of the dangers of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

3 DUI – Drug (Marijuana) Suspects Arrested
1 DUI – Alcohol Suspect Arrested. This Suspect was on Probation for a prior DUI conviction and had an Outstanding $40,000 DUI Arrest warrant.
2 Illegal Possession of Narcotics Suspects Arrested
2 Vehicles were Stored for 1 Day
