Update: Members of the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office have confirmed that the victim was a 27 year old Hispanic female, who was a resident of Pico Rivera. Her name has not been released as of 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives responded to the 9400 block of Underwood Street, Pico Rivera, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of female adult.
The shooting took place at around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday night. The street of the investigation is located just south of Whittier Boulevard just west of the 605 Freeway.
According to a statement to members of the media, the victim was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
There is no further information available at this time.
